Mark Browning

Mark is a native of Beaumont, TX and graduated from the second class of Beaumont Westbrook High School. He attended Lamar University in the summers while working and graduated from Texas A&M University in College Station with a BBA in Finance in 1988. He completed additional trust related coursework with the Texas Bankers Association Wealth Management and Trust School and holds the Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (C.T.F.A.) professional designation from the American Banker's Association. He is employed by Extraco Bank in College Station as a Senior Vice President and Trust Officer. In addition to over twenty years' experience in banking, Mark served ten years assisting donors to the Texas A&M Foundation who wanted to create gifts supporting academic programs and scholarships with the university, from their estate plans.

Mark's civic service includes work with the Boy Scouts of America with past service on the Board that manages the endowment for the Rio Grande Council. He also assists in managing the endowment for his church, St. Andrews Episcopal and the Diocese of Texas as well as CASA of the Brazos Valley Foundation in Bryan, TX. He is on the Board of Junior Achievement of the Brazos Valley and Habitat for Humanity B/CS. Mark's parents attended Lamar University (his late father was class of 1955) and he has established a music scholarship there in memory of his mother.

Mark and his wife of thirty years, Nancy, reside in College Station and have three adult children and two dogs. When not working, they enjoy attending Texas Aggie sporting and cultural events on campus, spending time at the lake and other travels.
