Honorable Randy Shelton

Randy Shelton graduated from Sam Houston State University and South Texas College of Law. He and his wife and daughter moved to Beaumont, Texas in 1989. He practiced law in Beaumont for 18 years. In 2007, he was elected and continues to serve as the judge of the 279th District Court of Jefferson County, Texas.

Randy is board certified in family law and child welfare law by the Texas Board of Legal Specializations, holds a certificate in family jurisdiction from the Texas Center for the Judiciary and selected as the Texas CASA Judge of Year and the Family Advocate of Year by Family Services of Southeast Texas. He serves as a commissioner for the Supreme Court of Texas Permanent Judicial Commission on Children, Youth and Families.

Randy is a member and director of the Beaumont Rotary Club and the recipient of the T Kelsey Lamb, Sr. Award for Business Ethics Award.
