In your home away from home, the Reaud Honors College fosters a strong sense of community that is supportive of your personal and professional development.

As one of our students, you are empowered to achieve your maximum intellectual and personal potential through the Reaud Honors College's engaging curriculum, smaller classes and supportive learning environment.

You will embark on an honors academic pathway, which you will further refine to fit your future goals and your desired explorations of achievable opportunities on campus and in your major. Our honors graduation counselor is available to guide you as you shape a plan that excites and intrigues you. These creative pathways allow you to experience a personalized academic journey as you progress to become a Reaud Honors College graduate.

Throughout your Reaud Honors journey, you will enjoy smaller classes taught by some of the best professors teaching at Lamar University. You will be offered enriched courses in all areas of Lamar's core curriculum, upper-level interdisciplinary topics courses and seminars, enhanced offerings in many majors and opportunities for honors contracts and independent study. We create fun, safe and inclusive learning environments that expand beyond our classrooms to our ping pong room, where you can play games in between classes, and our student lounge, where you can chat and snack and even grab or donate an interesting read from our community library.

The Reaud Honors College and your fellow honors Cardinals will offer you support and encouragement in your endeavors to develop leadership skills as you pursue community service, internships, co-ops, research and study abroad — whatever appeals to you and will help you achieve your dreams. Our Honors Student Association is one of the most active student organizations on campus, through which you can build bonds and develop lifelong friendships.
