Spirit Teams


The Lamar University Cheerleading Team is a competitive, co-ed team that performs at all home football and basketball games, traveling tournament games, and various community events.

Members must be full-time students at Lamar University or Lamar Institute of Technology and have a minimum 2.0 grade point average.

The members of this prestigious and growing dance team display their vast abilities while supporting Lamar University at athletic events, community activities, and their annual show. The members are as diverse as the styles of dance they present.

The Lamar University Dance Team receives generous scholarships that can provide up to 50 percent of tuition based on skills, years on the team, and leadership status.
