Catherine Burch Graham has earned a reputation for creativity and passion during 30+ years in integrated communications, the news media, and academia. Following a career in local television and at CNN in Atlanta and Washington, D.C., Graham honed her public relations expertise serving several Texas Medical Center institutions, Fortune 100 semiconductor giant Texas Instruments, Inc., charter school network KIPP Texas, and Houston’s top PR agency, Pierpont Communications.

In 2009, Graham founded CBG Communications, working with more than two dozen clients to develop and execute marketing communication efforts in the corporate, nonprofit, small business, education, and healthcare sectors. A fervent networker, Graham is active in the Public Relations Society of America and has served in the roles of assembly delegate, programming chair, and numerous committee positions. She also is past president of Houston’s Association for Women In Communications, which honored her with the chapter’s Headliner Award for exemplary commitment.

Since 2008, Graham has shared her expertise with close to 1,000 university students at the University of Houston and Beaumont, Texas-based Lamar University. She has served as a professional adviser for Lamar’s Public Relations Student Society of America and faculty adviser for the University of Houston chapter of the Association for Women In Communications.

Graham recently received her master’s degree in corporate and organizational communication from Boston’s Northeastern University and holds a journalism degree from The University of Texas at Austin. A native of San Antonio, she married a fellow Longhorn, Doug Graham, a healthcare administrator. They avidly cheer for the Houston Astros with their teenage son, Duncan.
