Lamar University Bands

The band program at Lamar University is one of the most active in the state of Texas, with over 220 students involved in one or more of five ensembles:  Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Cardinal Jazz Orchestra, Cardinal Basketball Pep Band, and "The Showcase of Southeast Texas", the Lamar University Marching Band.

Our ensembles participate in a wide variety of performances which include athletic events, formal concerts, informal concerts, parades, gatherings and more. The bands at Lamar University are open to all students, regardless of major, and scholarships are available to qualified students.
