Basketball Pep Band
The Cardinal Basketball Pep Band is a select ensemble that provides additional performance opportunities for Lamar's advanced wind and rhythm section players at Lamar University.
Directed by Dr. Eric Shannon, the pep band performs at all of the Lamar men’s and women’s home basketball games, as well as Conference and NCAA tournament games.
The band's instrumentation includes trumpets, trombones, saxophones, tubas, drums, electric bass guitar, and electric guitar. Members earn monetary compensation for participation.
2023-2024 Audition Information
Audition Videos are due by 5:00pm October 27 (a Friday). The season starts November 6 with the first game.
Follow all steps below:
Step 1: Complete Audition Sign-Up Form.
Step 2: Download the Audition Music.
Step 3: Upload your Audition Video to YouTube. Send the link to eshannon@lamar.edu.
Step 4: Download 2023-2024 Season Schedule Version 1 (subject to change).
