Band Camp I (Middle School) - June 17 - 21, 2018

Middle school students (entering grades 7 and 8) are invited to participate in the Middle School Band Camp. This camp offers a great opportunity for students to improve playing skills during the summer and to give them an intense musical experience while allowing for a tremendous social development. A staff of outstanding band directors and private lesson teachers offer a variety of daily classes, including full band rehearsals, master classes, private lessons, electives, and daytime recreation. Evening recreation includes movies, games, talent show, and a dance. The camp culminates with a grand concert of bands, featuring all of the students of the camp. Students may either commute or live in Cardinal Village and eat in the Dining Hall.

Audition and Registration information will be available in early 2018.

Evening activities include off-campus movies, student chamber music recitals, faculty recital, and a performance by the camp jazz ensemble. The camp culminates with a grand concert, including the percussion ensemble and all bands.

Audition Music

Students may use the 2017-2018 ATSSB or TMEA All-Region etudes to audition. Students may also audition on a solo if they would like. If the student chooses to audition on a solo, we ask that they perform a technical and lyrical section.

Registration information will be available in early 2018.
