Master of Engineering Science

The Master of Engineering Science is a thesis option program that prepares you to independently solve problems and develop innovative solutions in your selected engineering disciplines.

Before completing 15 hours of graduate work, you will select a department academic advisor and form a graduate committee. This committee will determine credit granted toward the your graduate degree.

Admission Requirements

Admission standards are designed to ensure that you are a qualified professional serving in a leadership role in your engineering discipline. The primary requirements are as follows:

  1. B.S. in Engineering
  2. Competitive GRE scores (for specific department requirements, please click the buttons below)
  3. If English is a second language, minimum TOEFL or IELTS as required by University policy

Degree Requirements

  1. All College of Graduate Studies general degree requirements
  2. A minimum of 24 hours of core courses and electives as determined by the department
  3. Satisfactory completion and defense of a Master's thesis (minimum of 6 semester hours)
