Have all documentation available before starting the application:
HESI Admission Exam Scores, if available at the time of application submission (PDF only), Note: Applicants have until the application deadline to take and submit HESI scores to the Dishman School of Nursing. For scheduling questions, please call our campus testing center at 409.880.8878, or your nearest Prometric testing center.
Please scan/combine your composite HESI score and critical thinking score reports into one document before uploading to the application.
The HESI (and any repeats of the Reading Section) must be taken no later than March 1, 2024.
If you are unable to upload these documents with your application, please scan and email to bsninfo@lamar.edu. Be sure to include your name and L number on the email.
Veterans: Copy of DD-214 (PDF only)
Grades for all college course work (pre-admission and pre-requisite courses)
Application must be submitted and payment of application fee made no later than 11:59pm on March 1, 2024. The application fee must be paid at the same time the application is submitted for consideration.
Applicants will receive a copy of their application responses by email. Applicants will receive a separate email receipt for payment of the application fee. The School of Nursing will receive the same notifications. The School of Nursing will not consider applications without a matching receipt of payment of the application fee.
