The Tutoring Center provides free academic support to help you succeed in your courses. Online students can access virtual tutoring sessions in subjects like math, science, writing, and more from professionally certified tutors and LU Alumni, depending on the specific program.
The LU Tutoring Center offers tutoring through several different platforms, depending on your specific program and tutoring needs, such as Knack and Brainfuse.

The Writing Center offers free writing consultation services to students and faculty from all campuses in the LU system. Online students can schedule virtual consultations with experienced writing tutors to receive feedback on essays, research papers, and other assignments.
Services include guidance on organization, clarity, grammar, and citation styles, all accessible through convenient online appointments. They also provide multiliteracy support and virtual workshops exploring critical skills for online students in the modern age.

The Career Center provides comprehensive career development resources to help you plan and achieve your professional goals, whether you're a current student or already graduated. Students can access virtual career counseling, résumé and cover letter reviews, and interview preparation through video conferencing or email.
Appointments are made through a Handshake account, where students can find and apply for jobs, meet with career consultants, and get information about upcoming events.

The Student Health Center is proud to announce that they have partnered with TimelyCare to offer 24/7 virtual health and wellness support for Lamar University students, no matter where you are.
Students can access free telehealth services, including on-demand medical care, scheduled counseling sessions, and mental health resources through TimelyCare's secure app or web platform. For online students enrolled in a accelerated program, you will need to first pay the Student Health Center fee before accessing this service. This fee will cover one semesters worth of Student Health Center services.
