Materials Science Lab

This Laboratory is used to support undergraduate students taking a material science course that has a laboratory course affiliated with it. In the lab, students perform hands-on experiments to 1) learn basic metallographic polishing/etching techniques, 2) characterize and explore microstructures, 3) learn thermomechanical treatments for strengthening, 3) identify materials, 4) measure mechanical properties.
