2.9 - Measurement


Through digital analytics, we will measure the performance of Lamar University's web environment in order to continually improve the design and content of it for the benefit of visitors and, ultimately, to enhance recruitment.  


According to Avinash Kaushik, digital marketing evangelist at Google, digital analytics:

  • analyze qualitative and quantitative data from your website and those of your competition,
  • drive a continual improvement of the online experience that your customers and potential customers have and
  • translate these into your desired outcomes (online and offline).


Google Analytics is embedded in the code for all Lamar University websites. The digital content editor sends monthly reports to certain departments.  Other departments can request a monthly report to review data. The Office of Web Communication will review data and offer suggestions and requirements for ongoing improvement.
