New Student Orientation

Orientation Leaders 2015

Congratulations!

Welcome to Cardinal Nation!

We're so excited that you chose to start your journey at Lamar University. LU offers orientation programs that help students transition to a new academic community, and help family members understand the student experience during this exciting time.

Entering a new academic community is an significant time in a person's life, and we want to help make it as successful as possible.

2019 Orientation

New Student Orientation is a wonderful opportunity to have your questions answered and start navigating the logistics associated with starting college or transferring from one school to another. It's also a great way to make friends, start building your on-campus community, and have FUN!

Our Orientation Leaders will guide you through an interactive introduction to departments, resources, and opportunities for involvement, which will allow you to customize your own unique college experience.

Lamar University offers Orientation for all incoming freshmen and transfer students. Freshman students must attend an Orientation session to receive their Fall 2019 class schedule, which will be confirmed at the end of Orientation.
