LU’s inducts new Phi Kappa Phi members

Lamar University recently inducted more than 100 new members of The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi including four LU alums.  Founded in 1897, Phi Kappa Phi is the nation’s oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all disciplines. Membership in the honor society is earned and by invitation only. Inductees are selected based on their academic excellence –– junior inductees need to rank in the top 7.5 percent of their class while senior and graduate inductees need to rank in the top 10 percent of their class. Faculty, professional staff and alumni who achieve scholarly distinction also may be eligible for membership.
