Music Major for a Day!
Greetings!
We highly encourage all prospective students to take an entire day and visit Lamar University and the Mary Morgan Moore Department of Music. This is called our "Music Major for a Day" program.
When you sign up, your form will be sent to your area's primary teacher. Once they contact you, together you will find a date and pair you up with a current music major. Then, all you have to do is bring money for lunch ($15 to be safe) and get yourself to campus.
We take care of the rest!
Your day can include:
• Campus tour
• Attending Music classes
• Sitting in and playing/singing with a band/choir
• Free private lesson with the professor in your specific area
• Lunch in Lamar's state-of-the-art Dining Hall
• Meeting other Lamar University music students
