The Department of Deaf Studies and Deaf Education (DSDE) is part of the College of Fine Arts and Communication (CoFAC) located in the Communication Building on the campus of Lamar University.

The DSDE department includes:

  • Faculty offices
  • Administrative areas
  • Dedicated classroom in the Communications building
  • ASL Lab - located in 107F that includes computers, video facilities, and fluent ASL tutors who assist with tutoring students in our programs
  • Three research labs in the Communication building, including the Cognition in Context (C'nC) Research Lab
