The Cognition in Context (C'nC) research lab includes eight Lamar University doctoral students.

Current lab research interests include developing a Spoken Language and Communication Checklist, similar to the Visual Communication and Sign Language (VCSL) Checklist, as well as understanding how Signing Exact English (SEE) is used in the classroom to develop an instrument that can measure children’s use of English grammar forms when taught in SEE.

Lab members are investigating DeafBlind individuals, “Dinner Table” Dialogic interactions, Deaf breast cancer survivors, and issues related to LEAD-K.
