The Leadership Studies degree is for those who want a degree plan that fits their career choices in management. In partnership with FranklinCovey®, the Leadership Studies degree is made up of an essentials management course, five leadership courses and four professional development courses.
This degree offers a flexible degree path designed around your previous education, professional experience and future career goals. Students can customize their coursework across several academic areas while developing valuable skills in communication, critical thinking and problem-solving.
The Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences (BAAS) at Lamar University is designed specifically for students who have already earned an associate degree. Only students with an associate degree are eligible to choose these concentrations, as the program builds directly on prior technical or workforce education.
All majors across Lamar University can choose a leadership and communication minor to enhance their resume. Students with a leadership and communication minor gain a more comprehensive skillset in leadership and have access to more options when choosing a career path.
In the Leadership Studies Program, you can earn up to six FranklinCovey® Certificates of Knowledge. Each knowledge exam is multiple choice, takes approximately 60 minutes to complete, and is monitored with the support of a third-party proctoring service.
