Blackboard

Blackboard is a learning management system used for course management and delivery. All online courses, and some components of on-campus courses, will be hosted here. Be sure to check Blackboard often to keep up with course lectures, assignments, announcements, and future due dates. Lamar University students, faculty, and staff can log in to Blackboard using their Lamar Electronic Account (LEA) username and password. If you do not remember your LEA username and/or password, please go to the LEA username/password recovery wizard, located in Self Service Banner. A tutorial guiding you through this process is available here

Graduate Academic Policies and Procedures

Policies and regulations of the university, as well as important information about the university, can all be found in the Student Handbook. This handbook serves as your guide for any general questions you may have about Lamar University. Need to know the hours the Dining Hall is open? Or maybe you’re interested in the fine arts facilities on campus. Perhaps you’ve forgotten the words to the Lamar Fight Song? Don’t worry. All that information and more can be found in the Student Handbook.

Financial Aid

Many of our programs are Financial Aid eligible, so it is important to complete your application for admissions at Lamar University at www.applytexas.org and a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.gov. The Financial Aid website has extensive, detailed instructions on the application process available to use as your personal guide. Grants and other alternative forms of aid may also be awarded to students, so be sure to check the Financial Aid webpage for further information on grants and loans here. Federal grants and additional assistance may also be found using Grants.gov, which is managed by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
