  • Step 5 - Apply for Housing

Make the most of your time at Lamar University by living on campus! Cardinal Village is made up of 5 residence halls full of apartment-style housing. With two floor plans to choose from, you will only have one or two roommates (that you can choose), only sharing the kitchen, living room, and bathroom!

Is this your first year in college? We cannot wait to have you on campus! All first-year freshman are required to live on campus and select a meal plan. Don't worry! We have multiple, special events planned to make your time at Lamar memorable.

Do you live close to campus? While we enjoy having our Cardinals living on campus, we understand if you decide to communte to campus. Students who live within 60 miles of campus may qualify for a housing exemption.

All first-year students are required to complete either a housing application or an exemption in their Housing Portal. Use your LEA to log in to your portal and complete this step.
