The Texas Academy at Lamar University will be hosting a Fish 'N Fest Event as our students largest fundraiser of the year. Our goal is to promote camaraderie and environmental stewardship through an inclusive and entertaining family fun and fishing event while raising funds for student activities and academy improvements. Join us in celebrating the joy of fishing along with family fun activities and investing in a brighter future for Texas Academy students.

Registered Teams can buy into up to 2 side pots at time of registration.
Team side pots - $50 buy-in per team, per category:Redfish - Most Spots (touching spots equal 1)
Redfish - Heaviest Single (under 28in)
Bass - Heaviest Single (over 14in)
In the event of a tie on any side pot, the tie will be broken by earliest weigh-in time.
Payout for each side pot category:Redfish: Most Spots - $150 (first only)
Redfish: Heaviest Single - $200 (first only)
Bass: Heaviest Single - $250 (first only)
Weigh-in stringer:Redfish - maximum of three (3) fish
Bass - maximum of five (5) fish
Redfish "Most Spots" side and heaviest redfish are not required to be part of the three (3) fish tournament stringer.
Heaviest bass are not required to be part of the five (5) fish tournament stringer.

The Family Festival will run during the afternoon and culminate with the announcement of the tournament winners at 4pm. The whole community is invited to join in the fun. Save money and pre-purchase your tickets above, or buy at the gate!
Our activities will be run by Texas Academy students and clubs! Come get your face painted, decorate a cookie or paint a pumpkin! The cost of each carnival game will range from 1-5 tickets with the bounce house and costume contest being free.

Want to sponsor our concession stand?
We are seeking monetary contributions as well as donations of bottled water, canned sodas, boudain, links, buns, individual bags of chips for the concession stand.
The names of those who donates at least $100 in product will be listed on the menu board as a concession stand sponsor.
Tickets will be available at the gate for $1 each and will be sold in increments of 5. Get your tickets early and save!
