Graduate Assistantships

Application priority deadline is May 1, for Fall

Selected Graduate Assistantships will receive: 

• Waiver of out-of-state part of tuition and fees.
• $10,125 Stipend over the Fall/Spring Semester ($1,125 a month)

Selection Criteria

1. Applicant must be accepted by the on campus M.B.A., M.S.P.A., or M.S.-MIS programs. 
2. Applicant must have a minimum overall cumulative 3.0 GPA. 
3. Applicant must have a GMAT (or GMAT equivalent of GRE) of 550 or higher. 
4. Applicant must be enrolled full time during the semesters of appointment. 
5. Applicant must be pursuing a graduate degree from Lamar University during the semesters of appointment. 
6. Applicant must work 19.5 hours per week during the semesters of appointment. 
7. Applicant must complete the information below, including the one page essay question. 
8. Optional: Competitive applicants can submit up to 3 letters of recommendation from individuals who can speak to the applicants' potential for success as a GA.
