This art showcase is hosted in partnership with the Lamar University Dishman Art Museum, inviting
students and alumni participants to explore the ways of belonging, humanity, humility, and resiliency in
connecting people across cultural boundaries. This event is to build an inclusive space for storytelling
through art. The Resiliency Art Showcase theme, “Bridges of Belonging,” embodies empathy, shared
humanity, and the strength found within diversity. Through creative expression, artists and viewers will
reflect on how we can build bridges and break down barriers through understanding and compassion.
