Disbursement of state, federal and institutional funding can occur no earlier than 10 days before the student's first day of class. Typically, one disbursement happens each semester. Disbursement of funds are applied to the student's Lamar University account and credited toward any accrued charges.

Disbursement amounts are based on the student enrollment level and eligibility of funding per Department of Education guidelines and funding limits.

Funds may apply to a student's account on multiple dates pending loan periods and class enrollment.
