About the FE Exam

The FE exam is a computer-based, discipline-specific exam offered year-round at approved Pearson VUE testing centers. Most students take it near graduation or shortly after completing an ABET-accredited program.

How to Register

You’ll register directly through the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) at ncees.org. From there, you’ll create an account, select your specific FE exam (Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, etc.), pay the fee, and choose your testing date/location.
