The Center for Educational Innovation and Digital Learning, located in Beaumont, Texas, resides under the Office of the President of Lamar University. The Center is designed to advance the application and impact of digital learning and to infuse digital education in both the K-12 and post-secondary environment. The Center works closely with a community of scholars, educational administrators, entrepreneurs, government officials, and corporations dedicated to sharing advancements in the field, promoting dialogue and establishing virtual communities to advance the digital learning field and its implementation.

A Professional Learning Program for Texas Teachers

Now, more than ever, Texas needs confident and skilled teachers who are prepared to deliver compelling, digital-ready lessons on-site, at a distance, or through a mix of blended learning. Ready for the Future is laser focused on preparing teachers with the knowledge and skill to utilize instructional technology in and out of the classroom — and with the flexibility to adapt at a moments notice. 

Ready for the Future is more than just a teacher training program. It also includes access to a digital repository of hundreds of technology labs, teaching labs, and thousands of teacher-created and expert-validated lesson plans which are categorized by grade-level, subject area, and TEKS. Ready for the Future moves beyond pandemic mitigation to help districts re-imagine schools, redesign curriculum, and reinvent learning to serve future generations of students.
