Driving and Parking

Parking in the A-2 and A-5 lots will be reserved for our graduates, their guests and participants.

Accessible Access

Lamar University is committed to providing all visitors attending graduation an accessible positive experience to celebrate this important academic achievement.  Visitors with disabilities are encouraged to arrive early to ensure access to any accommodations provided.  

Sign language interpreters and closed captioning services will be provided on-stage at all ceremonies, however any student or guest who may have an additional accommodation request or question are encouraged to contact our Disability Resource Center in advance before the event to ensure your needs are met.

Accessible Parking is available in the north lot. Please let a parking officer know of your need and you will be directed to the appropriate parking area.

Elevator Access to the concourse level is available outside on the northwest side of the Montagne Center. Seating for wheelchair users is available inside the arena at every tunnel entrance to the seating area.

Communication Access: The Disability Resource Center provides sign language interpreters on stage as well as closed captioning on a display behind the stage for people who may be deaf/hard of hearing. Guests needing access to interpretive services are encouraged arrive early and sit in the lower level of section G for the best view.

Note: Please be aware that the Montagne Center does not provide wheelchairs and there will be no LU personnel available to assist visitors to their seats.
