We're hoping you'll be as excited as we are about graduate-level research at Lamar University as you join the College of Graduate Studies for our 2nd Annual Spring 2020 Graduate Research Celebration. Dr. Sujing Wang, Ph.D., professor in the Computer Science Department and founder of the Lamar University Data Science Lab,  will headline in a keynote that addresses Big Data.

  • Graduate students who have begun or completed research projects are welcome to submit a 250-word abstract for either a poster presentation or a short digital presentation.
  • Graduate faculty are encouraged to submit brief abstracts for short five to ten-minute talks on subjects such as career development, grantsmanship, professional ethics, and other appropriate topics in their fields.

If your abstract is accepted, we will let you know by mid-March 2020, or sooner.

We'll provide a schedule of presentations and events in mid-Spring 2020 with full directions for both graduate student and faculty presenters. A keynote address is anticipated for mid-day.

The window for submissions will be open through March 1, 2020; we cannot wait to read your abstracts!
