Liminal | Photographs by Cathy Spence

In Liminal, a study of the edges of time and space, landscapes by Cathy Spence capture moments of transition — before daylight, almost winter, edge of spring, an imminent rainfall, the mirage of fog — and the margins between the colors of the skies and grasses, the land and water. Influenced by American photographer Edward Steichen, Spence explains, “I was trying to make my own The Pond – Moonrise, but my road took a different turn.”
