TSUS Regents Awards
The TSUS Foundation and Board of Regents have established award programs to recognize outstanding faculty, staff and students. Awards include professor, teaching, staff excellence and student scholar.
David J. Beck Awards
Through a generous gift to the Lamar University Foundation, David J. Beck established the teaching excellence award and undergraduate fellowships for students with high academic performance in any discipline.
Originally established by the Lamar System Board of Regents, distinguished faculty were awarded the Regents' Professorships and Regents' Merit Awards. After transitioning to Texas State University System, these recognitions changed and are now known as the University Professor and Merit Awards.
