Code:Red Digital Robotics

The unprecedented spread of COVID-19 has caused schools across the United States to close, leaving teachers scrambling to adjust to online learning and to find the resources to continue to connect with students.

In an effort to assist teachers, Lamar University is pleased to offer a learning experience for Elementary, Middle and High School teachers and students in online Digital Robotics and Coding courses at no cost through the end of summer.

This program provides engaging professional learning for teachers and students, and an opportunity, once schools reopen, to bring engaging and dynamic learning to classes, clubs, and afterschool programs. Optional participation in virtual robotics competitions are also available.

What's Included

  • 40 hours of activities.*
  • Available for ages 7 and up. 
  • Activities for novices, advanced beginners, intermediate and advanced levels.
  • Relevant STEAM skills in robotics, computer programming, algorithmic thinking, collaborative problem solving and more.
  • Blockly programming for beginners and intermediate activities. Python for advanced activities.

*No prior technical experience required.
