STEM Conference 2017

The STEM conference at Lamar was a great success!  The November conference focused on education including how new technology and research can improve how students in high schools and universities learn.  Shown in the photo above (from left) are Diego Fernandez, Ethan Hall, Greg Yera and department chair Dr. Stefan Andrei.  Dr. Andrei gave a presentation on 3D printing technology in use by the Lamar Department of Computer Science.  He discussed the effects of 3D printing on a learning environment and how 3D printing can be used to create custom physical models for abstract learning concepts.
