Lamarissimo! Jazz Concert

Lamarissimo! Jazz 2010 will feature Grammy Award-winning composer-arranger Marion Evans as special guest. The concert is open to holders of Lamarissimo! season tickets. Individual tickets, $15 for adults and $10 for students, will be on sale at the Julie Rogers box office before the concert. Admission is free to students of Lamar University in Beaumont with valid LU identification. Now celebrating its 20th Anniversary Season, Lamarissmo! provides an off-campus showcase for Lamar student and faculty talents.

Wayne Dyess, Lamar University of jazz studies, will conduct the bands. Grammy-winning composer-arranger Marion Evans will be featured guest for the event. In addition, Magnolia Garden Club of Beaumont will host a reception and special showing for its 2010 Garden Club of America Flower Show from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in conjunction with the Lamarissimo! Jazz Concert. This pre-performance event, featuring hors d'oeuvres and cash bar, will be open to holders of season or individual tickets to Lamarissimo! The Lamarissimo! Jazz Concert is sponsored by BGI Contractors, Inc.
