Welcome Back Week has awesome ways for new and returning students to learn about campus life, get involved, and have fun!

Tuesday, January 17

11 am - 1 pm - Vision 2023 - SSC Cypress

Kick off 2023 by creating your own vision board or 2023 bingo card and help predict a great year for yourself.

1 pm - 2 pm - Gumbo with the Greeks - Dining Hall Lawn

Chat with the members of NPHC, CPC, IFC, and MGC over a cup of gumbo! Learn more about each chapter and about Greek Life!

6 pm - 10 pm - Rolling Into the New Semester - Setzer Student Center

We're taking it back to the 80's with throwback roller skating, trivia game, crafts and more!

Wednesday, January 18

9 am - 10 am - Warm Up with NSLP - Outside Setzer Student Center

Stop by for free coffee and hot cocoa with NSLP! Learn about the Orientation Team and all the free events happening during Welcome Back Week!

11 am - 1 pm - Fish for Success with ARC - Setzer Student Center Atrium

Fish for a prize and meet the ARC staff who can hook you up with resources for student accessibility.

1 pm - 3 pm - Gotta Catch a STAR with Academic Coaching - SSC Atrium

Visit with the Success Partners of Academic Coaching. Grab a snack and a success tip to start your semester strong!

3 pm - 5 pm - Bingo with Cardinal Communities - SSC Live Oak Ballroom B

Play bingo with Cardinal Communities, win prizes, and grab a snack on us!

Thursday, January 19

11 am - 2 pm - See What's Popping! - Center for Career and Professional Development, Galloway 102

Pop over to the Center for Career and Professional Development for some tasty popcorn and to claim your Handshake account with access to over 15,000+ jobs. The first 100 students get a free Lamar T-shirt.

12:30 pm - 2 pm - Involvement & Volunteer Fair - SSC Live Oak Ballroom

Visit the fair to learn more about student organizations on campus, where to get involved, and where to serve in the Southeast Texas community.

1 pm - 3 pm - Be a Winner with STARS Tutoring - Library Lobby

Meet STAR Services tutors and spin to win a mystery prize. Visit The LU Tutoring Center to collect.

5 pm & 7 pm - LU Women’s & Men’s Basketball - Montagne Center

Cheer on the Cardinals as they play Texas A&M Corpus Christi.

Friday, January 20

2 pm - LU Women's Tennis vs DePaul - Tennis Complex

Free admission with your LU ID!

6 pm - Drive In Movie - Montagne Center Parking Lot

Taking it back old school for a classic drive-in movie! Bring your car or a chair and enjoy a screening of the 1988 classic comedy "Coming to America."
