Gemini Jackson Memorial Scholarship established

The Lamar University Foundation is proud to announce the Gemini Jackson Memorial Opportunity, a scholarship designed to support the educational aspirations of engineering students.  

Valued at $37,500, this scholarship is dedicated to students majoring in engineering, with a preference for those majoring in Electrical Engineering, and student-athletes who maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA.  

Named in honor of Gemini Jackson, an Atlanta native who relocated to southeast Texas to pursue a career in engineering, Jackson not only excelled in his professional pursuits but also became an integral part of the community. 

The scholarship seeks to uphold Gemini Jackson's legacy by offering financial assistance to deserving students and encouraging excellence in the field of engineering. 

Funding for this scholarship will begin in August of 2024.
