Pursuing higher education can be expensive, but it doesn’t have to be. Lamar University, along with Lamar State College-Port Arthur and Lamar Institute of Technology were ranked among the Most Affordable Colleges in Texas, according to careerkarma.com.
Lamar State College-Port Arthur ranked in the No. 1 spot, with $80/credit hour (in state) and $488/credit hour (out of state). Lamar Institute of Technology ranked in the No. 2 spot, with $80/credit (in state) and $488/credit (out of state). Lamar University came in at No. 10, with $5,293/semester (in state) and $11,428/semester (out of state).
