LU alum crowned Ms. USA

Inspire, lead and achieve. That is the motto for Pure International Pageants. It’s also the three actions that helped LU alum Tricia Hidalgo in being crowned the new Ms. USA for 2022. In mid-July, the Southeast Texas native competed in modeling, formal wear and personal interview for Pure International Pageants to earn her new title. She also won awards for her artwork, painting and photogenic entries for the competition. Tricia-hildago-ms-usa

Hidalgo graduated from Lamar University with a master’s in business in 2013 and currently works for Hargrove Engineers and Constructors. According to a recent news release, she volunteers as a career mentor with Dress for Success Houston to help women identify their strengths and communicate them in the interview room. She aims to create her very own #BeTheImpact project, where she helps all females to realize their strengths and use them to the betterment of themselves, their goals, and their future. As a positive role model, Hidalgo will have the opportunity to attend festivals, parades, community activities, and volunteer her services to organizations, helping those in need.

Next, she will travel to Orlando, Florida to compete as Ms. USA in the international competition in July of 2023.
