The American Society of Civil Engineers, or ASCE, is LU’s local chapter of a national branch that is geared towards giving students practical knowledge for the future. Their goal also includes helping students with the possibility of continued education and how to manage their career once they become graduates.

The money raised by the ASCE will be used to help the organization continue with community service projects, competition entries and equipment, and field trips to build each member’s experience in their respected fields. The ASCE is open to all majors and students can register to join the ASCE in the Cherry Building lounge with sign up slips located on the news bulletin board.

Deadline for online registration to compete in the Redfish Classic Fishing Tournament will be on Feb. 20, and last day to register will be at the Captain’s Dinner on Feb. 25.
