LU alumni office offers ‘A Dinner and Conversation’

The Lamar University Office of Alumni Affairs will be hosting a dinner designed to connect current Lamar students with successful alumni. The event will take place at 6 p.m. on Thursday, February 8 in the University Event Center on the 8th floor of the Mary and John Gray Library and will provide students in a variety of fields the opportunity to have open conversations with a Lamar University graduate who is accomplished in the student’s field of study.

A graduate who will be able to discuss and advise students in their chosen field will host each table. Hosts will represent careers in audiology, business, chemical/environmental engineering, nursing, education, engineering, and communication.

Hosts will be: Dr. Diane Bass, audiologist and owner of Advanced Pediatric Care; Jared Boudreaux, president of Vector Controls; Kristy McCarty, environmental lead at ExxonMobil; Diana Miles, nursing manager at Christus Southeast Texas St. Elizabeth Hospital; Superintendent Robin Perez, Nederland ISD; Terry Welch, president of the Sinclair Group; and Rene Latiolais, community relations coordinator for Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas.

Admission is free but seating is limited. Business attire is required for students wishing to attend.
