College of Business Dean's Distinguished Speaker, Allen Parker, CFO of Blue Origin.

 

Blue Origin is a private American Space Technology Company that develops and operates suborbital and heavy-lift rockets.
Mr. Parker will share lessons and insights from his leadership roles at Amazon, Blue Origin, and Zillow.


Allen Paker is a senior financial executive with extensive leadership experience across aerospace, technology, e-commerce, and financial services. He currently serves as Chief Financial Officer of Blue Origin, where he oversees global financial strategy and operations. Previously, he held the role of Chief Financial Officer at Zillow, leading Finance, Legal, Strategy, Corporate Development, and Investor Relations, and briefly served as CFO of Varo Bank. Earlier in his career, he spent over 13 years at Amazon, holding multiple senior finance leadership roles including CFO for Amazon Devices and the Appstore, Worldwide Operations, and Merchant Services.  

Before Amazon, he held executive finance and strategy roles at General Electric and American Standard, and began his career in public accounting and SEC consulting with Coopers & Lybrand. In addition to his corporate leadership, he serves as a Member of the Board of Trustees and Finance and Audit Committee Member of the University of Oregon Foundation, supporting fiduciary oversight and donor stewardship. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Oregon and completed the International Business Program in Economics at Nyenrode Business University located in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
