With a background in both Communication Disorders and Communication, Ruth Stanley has long sought to help students who are struggling with communication issues. She developed a special section of Public Speaking for those students who have very high anxiety about public speaking (Communication Apprehension), which has helped countless students find their confidence in communicating with others in interpersonal, small group, and public speaking contexts. She also developed an online course, Exploring and Communicating Forgiveness, which deals with processing and communicating forgiveness for ourselves and for and with others.

In addition to these courses, Mrs. Stanley teaches Interpersonal Communication, Public Speaking, and Advanced Public Speaking. Mrs. Stanley believes that it is important to remember that we change our world with each and every interaction we have with others – for harm, or for good. It’s up to us which it will be.
