Meet Me in the Entry

Meet Me in the Entry is a graphite drawing series exploring the quiet, often unspoken expressions of love in everyday life. Through the lens of floriography and emotional nuance, the work highlights four distinct types of love: Philia (friendship), Eros (passion), Storge (family), and Philautia (self-love). The series includes four largescale graphite drawings (22” x 30”) and four smaller handmade paper drawings paired with original poetry. Using familiar figures and natural elements as symbolic references, each piece places its subject in a calm, organic setting, emphasizing that emotion, like nature, is inherent and deeply human. This body of work invites viewers to reflect on the layered relationships in their own lives, from acts of self-care to the selfless love we show others. It is both a celebration and contemplation of love in all its forms.
