Waivers are a type of financial assistance that allows certain nonresidents of Texas to pay the in-state tuition rate. | Learn More about waivers

Certain waivers/exemptions require recipients to maintain a certain GPA and complete their program of study within a certain amount of hours.  Recipients of these awards are evaluated each semester to ensure compliance with GPA and excessive hour rules.  For more information, contact studentbusiness@lamar.edu.

Veterans Benefits Program

Please contact the Veterans Affairs Office here at Lamar University with question about the Hazlewood Act or any other VA benefit. The Veterans Affairs Office is maintained is Room 101 of the Wimberly Building to aid veterans in obtaining their educational benefits.
