Meeting called to order at 1:03 PM, by Dr. Jerry Lin
I. Review/Approval of March 7, 2022 Council meeting minutes
Minutes accepted and moved to order by Ana Christensen and Chunda Chen
II. Need new policy – Institutional Base Salary
i. Institutions that receive federal grants needs to have a policy for institutional base salary for personnel compensation charged against grants
ii. Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200.430 Compensation – Personal Services) was distributed to the research council members for review
iii. Council members to read and provide input on Lamar University IBS policy in May 2022 Research Council Meeting
III. Roundtable
i. Homeland Security Initiative – Sam Houston State University
