  1. Paula Nichols, Committee Chair, called the meeting to order.  The following eleven people were present for the committee meeting:

  1. Review prior meeting minutes: The minutes were reviewed and approved.

 

  1. New online Course Proposals
  • Certificate in Power & Energy for Electrical Engineering, additional information is needed.
  • Revision EDLD 5344 – Approved and moved forward
  • Revision FCSC 1322-48F & AP – Approved and moved forward
  • Revision FCSC 4307-48F – Approved and moved forward
  • New Course FCSC 5351-48F – Approved and moved forward

 

  1. Scheduled maintenance for necessary updates for blackboard will take place on Tuesdays between 1AM – 4AM or 2AM – 5AM, twice a month.
  2. Digital Ticket for Distance Learning will be held on Thursday May 19, 2016. Proposals are still needed and vendors, with 84 people sign up. A second email will go out to all faculty within the next couple of weeks.
  3. The new revised course/program/revision proposals were approved
  4. Committees
    • Proctoring committees – Lamar is currently using Proctor U for online testing. Members needed to form a committee to look into different software to use for Lamar.
    • Program Proposal committees – Create a small group to review all Program Proposals before being submitted to the D.E. Committee. Diana Mason has volunteer to participate an others are welcome.
  5. Next Meeting Date- April 28, 2016. The meeting adjourned at 3:30pm.
