Health and Kinesiology

Welcome to the Department of Health and Kinesiology in the Lamar University's College of Education and Human Development.

Our goal is to provide the best educational experience for you, our student, to prepare you to promote lifetime fitness, wellness, and physical activity in your future athletes, clients, students, and patients. At the conclusion of any one of our programs, you’ll be prepared for careers in exercise science, physical education, coaching, athletic training, public health, and many graduate programs, such as physical or occupational therapy.

Our environment is positive, encouraging, and challenging. We utilize best teaching practices, including a variety of hands-on experiences, research opportunities, and community outreach in the education of our students.
