Updating Your Information in LU Directory

The LU Directory provides an internal directory and public directory.  The internal directory does include university information marked “not listed” for ease of communication internally (it does not include personal home addresses or phone numbers). The public directory does not include information marked "not listed."

The data in the directory comes from Banner.  Please update your profile information in Self-Service Banner.  Nicknames are managed separately in another system. If you have a nickname or use a middle name, contact customer support at 2222 to have your nickname added so people can find you.

Updating Addresses and Phones

 

To Update Existing On Campus Office Location

  1. At the lamar.edu website, click LU Connect, click Students or Faculty/Staff, click Self-Serv Banner
  2. Log in to Self-Service Banner with your LamarID and PIN
  3. Click Personal Information
  4. To update addresses and phones, click Update Addresses and Phones
  5. Click blue text Current or Primary to update your On Campus Office Location.
  6. Update the information.  Provide today’s date for the Valid From This Date option and a date in the future, for example, 12/31/2030 for the Until This Date option.  Update the address information, including city, state, county and nation.

    To Update Phones

    Make certain you have one Directory Phone Number listed. List the area code (409) and the entire 8 digit number in the Phone Number field.  Do not use the Ext. field.
  7. Click Submit.

 

If No On Campus Office Location is Listed

 

    1. If no On Campus Office Location is listed, under the Type of Address to Insert drop down menu, choose On Campus Office Location and click Submit.
    2. Enter Valid From This Date (enter current date) and Until This Date (enter date in future i.e. 12/01/2030) dates.
    3. Add Building and Room for Address Line 1 and 2. 
    4. Enter City (Beaumont), State (Texas), Zip 77710, County (Jefferson) and Nation (United States of America).
    5. Update Phone if needed.
    6. Click Submit.
    7. Click Submit to finalize the updates

 

To Delete an Address

    1. Click blue Current or Primary.
    2. Check the box by Delete this Address in the middle of the section.
    3. Choose Submit.

 

Updating Directory Profile (choose what information appears in the Public Directory)

 

    • 1. Go to www.Lamar.edu, click LU Connect, click Students or Faculty/Staff, click Self-Serv Banner
    • 2. Log in to Self-Service Banner with your LamarID and PIN
    • 3. Click Personal Information
    • 4. Click Directory Profile
    • 5. Check the boxes of items you wish to display publicly.  Note: The Internal Directory will include on campus office location and address and phone number by default.
    • 6. Submit Changes.
