Professional Experience

Academic Experience 

Instructor-Full-Time Faculty, Lamar University (January, 2016 - Present), Beaumont, Texas.

Adjunct, Lamar University (August, 2013 - December 2015), Beaumont, Texas.  Adjunct instructor responsible for teaching business courses as assigned.

Assistant United States Attorneys Office, United States Attorneys Office (January, 1992 - April, 1995), Beaumont, Texas.  Assigned to the Criminal Division and the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF).  Responsible for the management of cases involving drug trafficking and money laundering organizations from Grand Jury indictment through the trial phase and ultimately through the appellate phase.  Duties included coordinating with Federal Agencies and local law enforcement in order to prosecute complex multi-defendant cases in Federal Court and arguing cases before the Fifth Circuit.

Assistant District Attorney, Harris County District Attorney's Office (March, 1989 - December, 1991), Houston, Texas.  Assigned to various misdemeanor and felony courts within the Harris County Criminal Court system.  Responsible for managing the court's docket by trying cases or through plea agreements.

2015:  Symphony League of Beaumont,  Executive Board member of the Symphony League of Beaumont for 10 years.
