Undergraduate Research Grant (URG)
The Office of Undergraduate Research is pleased to announce the Undergraduate Research Grant Program. The program is aimed to encouraging talented students to perform high-impact research (defined broadly as activities generating or synthesizing of new products that lead to improvement of society and humanity) with faculty mentors at Lamar University.
All disciplines (STEM and non-STEM) of research, as well as scholarly and creative activities will be supported. In FY2023-2024, a total of 20 Undergraduate Research Grants will be awarded.

| September 1 | Call for proposals open at Competition Space |
| November 15 | Call for proposals closes (no more proposal submissions allowed) |
| December 15 | Last award date of any Undergraduate Research Grant |
| February 16 | Deadline for URG research support requests |
| March 4-6 | Meeting with the Director of O.U.R. on project progress |
| April 18-19 | Undergraduate Research Expo 2024. All student awardees are required to present his/her research in in this event. |
| May 31 | Final report due |
